From the 30th of September to the 2nd of October the fourteenth international competition for young pop singers "Silver Yantra" was held in Veliko Tarnovo.

October 19. Day of St. Ivan Rilski the Miracle Worker, patron of the Bulgarian people.

Holy Cross Day - a great church holiday but also a holiday of the earth according to the folk calendar. On this date the grape – harvest starts.

August 15. Virgin Mary’s Day - one of the greatest Bulgarian holidays. People worship the Mother of God as protector of mothers and children.
