On the 13th of December, the exhibition Fragments from Sofia was opened at the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus.

It is the result of the creative collaboration between H. E. Mr. Stavros Avgoustidis, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the country in Bulgaria, who is also an artist, along with the Bulgarian photographer Ventsislav Petrov. The two met three years ago and led by their artistic passion began to explore different fragments of the capital from a different perspective. This resulted into an art project that includes photographs and paintings inspired by everything we hurriedly pass by daily, without noticing it.

H. E. Mr. Stavros Avgoustidis shared during the evening that the exhibition focuses on the observed and unnoticed aspects of public life: people, abandoned buildings, landscapes, architecture, streets, roofs, sites ... An interactive open-ended project that invites friends and followers to participate actively and share ideas for potential places and "hidden treasures" in the city of Sofia.

The photographs and paintings displayed at the exhibition are in limited quantity. The revenues are to go to the "I Play and Dream" program of the "For Our Children" Foundation.

The photos are provided by the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Bulgaria.
