An International Conference dedicated on the Balkan countries and their role in the modern world and the geopolitical system was held on 18 and 19 June in Serbia.
It was organized by the Fund in support of the public diplomacy A.M.Gorchakov, with the media support of Rossiyskaya Gazeta and Russian Express and in partnership with the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Serbia, NIS Gazprom Neft, RUSSIA BEYOND THE HEADLINES, the public organization Serbian code, foundation Dignity, the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, Eurasian Center VIA EVRASIA, the Law Faculty in Banja Luka and others. The forum was attended by over 80 representatives from 15 countries.
The two days of the conference were filled with debates on topics such as: "The Balkans in the geopolitical system. Mutual trust and dialogue as a condition for ending the global crisis"," Regional security issues and international cooperation. Conclusions and lessons of World War II 70 years later and its consequences for the Balkan region "," The threat of exports of "revolutions" as a new technology for the reconstruction of the political map of the world. Falsification of history - a dangerous time for subversion of national independence "," Energy Policy of global players in the Balkans. Russia and the Balkans: the spiritual dimension and intercultural dialogue ".
Among the speakers at the conference in Novi Sad was the Bulgarian Assoc. Prof. Dr. Darina Grigorova, head of Eurasian center VIA EVRASIA, who gave a presentation on "The minefield of the historical memory after 1991". In it she spoke about the "psycho historic war" and "the memo forming" in the world today, used to combat the uncomfortable political parties. Here is the place to mention that the first "Balkan dialogue" meeting, which is held annually from 2013 onwards, took place in Bulgaria, at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski".
