At the initiative of the Italian Cultural Institute, from the 16th of September to the 18th of October 2015 in the Ballroom of the National Gallery - The Palace will be shown the exhibition "Italian fashion - born of dreams", dedicated to the history of Italian fashion.

The exhibition is organized under the patronage of the Sofia Mayor Mrs. Yordanka Fandakova, and is officially opened on the 16th of September by, his Excellency, the Ambassador of Italy Mr. Marco Konticheli. The history of Italian fashion is represented in the collection by their clothes, expressing love for the aesthetics of 19 of the most famous Italian designers: Armani, Alessandro Angelozzi, Renato Balestra, Laura Biagiotti, Mariella Burani, Roberto Cappuccilli, Franco Chambela, Enrico Coveri, Gianfranco Ferre, Marella Ferrera, the Fontana sisters, Irene Galitzine, Ranieri.

The exhibition reveals a curious way of how the Italian fashion evolves, imposes and affirms worldwide during the last 50 years. Connoisseurs of fashion in Sofia will be able to see in one place, exquisite dresses - made by famous designers and worn by international celebrities such as Sophia Loren, Ava Gardner, Elizabeth Hurley, Milla Jovovich, Naomi Campbell and Bianca Balti.

Curators of the exhibition are Fiorella Galgano and Alessia Tota.
