March 3 THE LIBERATION OF BULGARIA. National holiday. On this day in 1878 in the village of San Stefano, close to Istanbul, a Peace Treaty was signed. It put an end to the Russo-Turkish War (1877-1878). The Bulgarian state was restored.

Every year the Annual Charity Bazaar provides an opportunity for countries to proudly showcase their handmade crafts, music, souvenirs, folklore, national cuisine, clothing, literature and now even culture and tradition. At last year’s Bazaar, more than 49 countries were represented by 40 stalls. Although the Bazaar presents us with a day of fun and entertainment, it also serves as the principal source of funding for the IWC’s selected charity projects.
