On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Bulgaria,

from the 20th to the 24th of March in the cities of Plovdiv, Sofia and Varna, there were concerts of the Kazakh State Academic Orchestra for Folk Instruments "Kurmangazy".
Over the course of its 83-year history, the unique orchestra has performed in such famous venues as “Carnegie Hall” in New York, “Kennedy” in Washington, “Bolshoi Theater” in Moscow and “Concert Hall” in Vienna. Now, for the first time, it is also in Bulgaria. Its repertoire includes more than 4,000 works. In Bulgaria it performed folk cueves - instrumental works, works by Kazakh composers, but also from the world classics.
There was a special greeting to the Bulgarian spectators. Jenis Iskakova sang the song of Dimitar Valchev "One Bulgarian Rose" in Bulgarian and the whole orchestra performed a "Folklore Variation" by the composer Georgi Andreev.
