An exciting evening took place on 27 January at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Sofia.
On the occasion of the end of her diplomatic term in Bulgaria, Mrs. Ivana Marksfeldova - Consul and Cultural Attaché, said goodbye to us with a special poetic and musical evening. Due to the anti-epidemic measures introduced in the country, it was attended by a limited number of guests - the dearest friends she found during her mission in Bulgaria.
H. E. Mr. Manuel Korcek, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to our country, was the first to welcome everyone and share his impressions of working with Mrs. Ivana Marksfeldova - from her exceptional professionalism to her incredible personal charm, with which she attracted partners and friends to her causes.
Then some of the most beautiful poems, thoughts and songs dedicated to Slovak-Bulgarian friendship were heard. They were performed by Mrs. Dimana Ivanova from the Czech Centre in Sofia, who was also the host of the evening, by Mr. Ivan Hristov and Mr. Peter Chukhov, who also made wonderful musical interpretations of folk songs, as well as by Ivana herself, as everyone in the hall called Mrs. Marksfeldova.
After the exciting performances dedicated to the Bulgarian-Slovak friendship, the cause for the evening said:
For 3 years and 8 months I had the honour to work at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Sofia as Consul and Cultural Attaché.
I met all of you during my work. Thank you for the opportunity to meet such great, exceptional people.
Every single person who is here tonight is special and exceptional in some way.
Thank you today for your quality professional cooperation and assistance. And not only about that, but also about friendship.
The Philosophy of the Good Life is about values and virtues in friendship, such as: empathy, loyalty, trust, friendship and selfless help.
Thank you for being my Bulgarian part of the good life. I appreciate all these values and the friendship I will keep in my heart forever.
You were the best part of my life during my professional career.
This is the greatest value for me.
Afterwards, many of the attendees took the floor to talk about the valuable events and initiatives they have implemented together during the almost four years of the Slovak diplomat's work in Bulgaria. And everyone used the words - mercy, kindness, kindness, friendship and... "Thanks, Ivana!".
