On the 15th of March, Hungary celebrated the 170th anniversary of the outbreak of the Revolution and the struggle for freedom from 1848-1849. This is one of the most significant events in the new history of the country and of Europe.

The Embassy of the State of Kuwait, in the Republic of Bulgaria, organized an official reception on the 21st of February at the Marinella Hotel in Sofia on the occasion of the Independence Day and the Liberation Day of the country.
25th of February, the national holiday of the Kuwait State, is associated with gaining the country's independence 57 years ago - on the 19th of June 1961 (until then it was an English protectorate) and with its liberation 27 years ago - on the 28th of February 1991. The two historic events are celebrated together as one national day.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Todor Stoyanov, ambassadors and diplomats, members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group between the Republic of Bulgaria and the State of Kuwait, representatives of the media, Arab organizations and friends were all attendees at the reception given by H. E. Mr. Yaqoub Alateeqi - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of Bulgaria.
Like every year, the event was the occasion for meetings and exchanges of thoughts between friends from different activity spheres - something that leads towards deepening of the relations between the two countries and between the two friendly people – that of the Republic of Bulgaria and the State of Kuwait.
The guests of the reception had the opportunity to see the specially made Kuwaiti corner in the hall, to watch video-footage of the country's achievements and to listen to Kuwaiti music. They also received promotional, cultural and literary brochures and materials for Kuwait.
Everyone enjoyed thevarietyof delicious Arabic and local dishes, as well as, the lovely pastries and cake.
