On the 20th of September, H. E. Mr. Krzysztof Kraevski, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Bulgaria, and his wife,

gave a reception at the Embassy for which there was a double occasion - the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Poland and Bulgaria and the end of the diplomatic mission of the Ambassador in our country.

Earlier that day the Polish diplomat was awarded the StaraPlanina First Degree Order by President Rumen Radev. H. E. Mr. Krzysztof Kraevski received our highest state honors for the merit of his work towards deepening and development of the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Poland.

The atmosphere at the reception was exciting and friendly. The Ambassador touched his guests, colleagues and friends, with his speech, saying: "On the one hand, I am happy that together with you I can celebrate such an important event, which is undoubtedly the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Poland and Bulgaria. On the other hand, I am sad because I leave a country where I spent nine important years of my professional life - first as Consul General in Varna and then as Ambassador of Poland. Events like this always make us prone to assess the past."

And the assessment is in favor of the Polish-Bulgarian cooperation. H. E. Mr. Krzysztof Kraevski reminded of the many visits, including such at highest political level, during his mandate, which had a good impact on various spheres of cooperation. The number of Polish tourists in Bulgaria continues to grow, economic ties between our countries are getting stronger... The Ambassador thanked the Bulgarian institutions and his colleagues from the diplomatic corps for the support and friendship during his term in Bulgaria.
