On the12th of December in Sofia Balkan Hotel Mr. Temirtay Izbastin, who is managing the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Bulgaria, gave a reception on the occasion of the national holiday of the country.

The Independence Day, which the Kazakhstani people declared on the 16th of December, welcomed representatives of the presidency, the government, the foreign ministry, MPs, ambassadors and diplomats, scientists, businessmen, Kazakhstanis living in Bulgaria, friends.

In his welcoming speech to the guests, Mr. Temirtay Izbastin noted that Kazakhstan's sovereign development, under the leadership of President Nursultan Nazarbayev, created a solid economic base, ensured political stability, preserved peace and understanding among all ethnicities and beliefs. Kazakhstan is a full and responsible participant in the international relations.

The state border is established, the Constitution and the national currency are adopted. Kazakhstan gave up the nuclear weapons, established friendly relations with all nations, and set strategic direction in its development. The country was the chair of authoritative international organizations such as the United Nations Security Council, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Organization for Islamic Cooperation and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. For Kazakhstan, this is an indicator of high appreciation and confidence on the part of the world community.

Good relations have been established between Kazakhstan and Bulgaria and this contributes to the further strengthening of the bilateral co-operation.
