On the 13th of February, H. E. Assoc. ProfŽeljko Jović, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Bulgaria,

gave a reception at the embassy on the occasion of the national holiday of the country. The Statehood Day - February 15th, was honored by numerous guests: officials and ambassadors, journalists and cultural figures, friends of Serbia and Serbs living in Bulgaria.

The guests first heard the hymns of both countries, performed by the choir of "St. John Chrysostom". Then H. E. Assoc. Prof. Željko Jović welcomed everyone. In his speech - in Bulgarian, he stressed the need for further joint work, which would contribute not only to establishing excellent relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Bulgaria, but also to the preservation of peace, greater stability and prosperity of the whole region.

Ambassador Željko Jović pointed out that we all have only one common future and that it depends on us what it will be.

And then, in an extremely warm and hearty atmosphere, the attendees indulged in lively conversations on current topics. They also tried the specialties of the famous Serbian cuisine, as well as drinks from the neighboring country.
