National day message by H. E. Ms. Giuseppina Zarra, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Bulgaria

Dear compatriots, dear Bulgarian friends, dear colleagues,

today we celebrate the day of the Italian Republic, which was born on June 2, 1946. I would have liked to celebrate together in this splendid venue, but the pandemic still does not allow us to do so. With this message we want to show you our closeness: we are here and we will be here. We can see the end of the tunnel and it is towards this light that we must look with hope, courage, optimism and commitment. With the same spirit that after the ruins of the Second World War allowed Italy to refound itself on the democratic values of the Republic, to rebuild the country and to become one of the protagonists of international relations based on the UN and Euro-Atlantic values. We look forward with confidence and without fear.
