National Day Message by H. E. Mrs. Eleonora Mitrofanova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Bulgaria
Dear compatriots! Dear friends!
I cordially congratulate you on our national holiday - the Day of Russia! Each of us is proud to be part of this huge, strong and independent state, which plays one of the key roles in international politics, resolutely defends its national interests, and can stand up for itself and its allies.
Throughout its centuries-long history, Russia has gone through various stages. Alexander Nevsky and Dmitry Donsky, Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharski, Alexander Suvorov and Mikhail Kutuzov, Mikhail Skobelev and Nikolai Ignatiev, Alexander Pushkin and Fyodor Dostoevsky, Yuri Gagarin and Sergei Korolev, Konstantin Rokosovsky and Georgy Zhukov are artists of one country. All of them, along with many others, forge the greatness of Russia and lay the foundations of the great Russian world. I want to emphasise, that we value all periods of our history that have equally predetermined our present and have brought us where we are.
Today, we continue to keep pace with the times - opening new science-intensive enterprises, modernizing our armed forces, exploring space, educating future scientists, artists and athletes, contributing to the global fight against the pandemic, promoting regional conflict resolution, advocating for conservation of the current architecture of international law.
At the same time, we carefully guard what our wise ancestors bequeathed to us, on which Russian civilization is based - the spirituality based primarily on the Orthodox faith, traditional family values and a willingness to sacrifice for the Motherland.
Friends, let us remember that as we are here in Bulgaria, a country close to us, we are all part of a great country, we care and worry about it, we wish it only success and prosperity!
