National Day Message by H. E. Mr. Anatol Cebuc, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to the Republic of Bulgaria
On the 27th of August, Moldova had celebrated for the 30th time its national holiday - the Independence Day. Thirty years ago, the collapse of the Soviet Union was the beginning for a democratic Moldova, a free and independent country to which generations of fellow citizens aspired.
These 30 years have been good years, hard years, years of aspirations and expectations. The ideals and goals our society set at the down of independence are still guiding us to this day: building an inclusive society, creating equal economic opportunities for those who want to materialize their business ideas and upholding democratic principles and rules. Moldova is not alone on this road, our international partners are consistently providing their expertise and assistance to help achieving the goals we set for ourselves.
After the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, our countries developed friendly and dynamic bonds which are still expanding in all major areas. Bilateral economic exchanges are constantly growing and Bulgarian investments are welcome in Moldova.
I ascertain with satisfaction that the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Bulgaria enjoy traditional relations of strong friendship and mutual support, developed in the spirit of trust and respect. It gives me great pleasure to see the ascending dynamic of Moldavian-Bulgarian cooperation in various priority areas of mutual interest and I am confident that, through common efforts, we will succeed in deepening the relations of cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Bulgaria, fully tapping into the existing potential.
I would like to underline the high appreciation for the openness and availability of the Bulgarian authorities as well for the strong support of European path of the Republic of Moldova. I would like also to express my gratitude for the support that Bulgaria consistently provides for the implementation of the reforms and engagements assumed by the Republic of Moldova, as enshrined in the Association Agreement with the European Union.
The parliamentary elections of July 11th of the current year demonstrated the will of the Moldovan people to identify a truly European, stable, prosperous state, with a firm will to become a member of the united European family. After 30 years, a new generation of young people has grown up determined to carry out reforms aimed at strengthening democratic institutions and building a stable and prosperous Moldova, looking confidently to the future.
La multi ani, Republica Moldova!
