On 29 November H. E. Ms. Brânduşa Ioana Predescu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Republic of Bulgaria,
gave a reception on the occasion of the national holiday of the country in Sofia Hotel Balkan. The event was attended by many representatives of the Bulgarian authorities and institutions, ambassadors, diplomats, journalists, friends and Romanians living in our country.
Each year on December 1 Romanian people celebrate their National Day, the date of the unification of Transylvania and Romania, and the creation of a united state in 1918.
In her welcoming address to the guests, Her Excellency noted the important moments of the work during the past year, thanked all Bulgarian authorities, partners and friends for their openness and intensive cooperation throughout the year. She also congratulated the Romanians present, reminding them that it is the duty of all to preserve and promote the Romanian language, culture, values and traditions wherever they are. To contribute to a modern, future-oriented Romania, part of a united Europe.
Guests then enjoyed lively conversations and the wonderful wines and dishes prepared for the celebration.
