On the 30th of July, on the occasion of the national holiday of the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Mrs. Latifa Akharbach, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Morocco in Bulgaria, hosted a reception at the residence.

17 years ago on that date King Mohammed VI ascended the throne of Morocco. In her heartfelt welcoming address to all the guests, H.E. Mrs. Latifa Akharbach noted the importance of this event: "This celebration is important for all Moroccans; it refers to one of the most important institutions in the history of the current and future development of our country. The Moroccan monarchy has existed for 12 centuries and has always been the guarantor of the unity of the nation and a defender of its diversity in cultural and political pluralism. And if the Moroccan nation continues to honor the monarchy and to so ardently celebrate it, it's because it managed to evolve, it is the inspirer of progress and an innovator in social, economic and democratic pioneering programs and initiatives ... "

Later in her speech, the ambassador stressed that in order for the "Bulgarian-Moroccan relations to be deployed and to take all the niches that are opened in front of them" the "geostrategic dimension of cooperation and the use of a bilateral level of important and concrete achievements" should be strengthened. "Morocco expects to work more and better with Bulgaria, because we really believe in the usefulness of a more significant and concrete cooperation between the Mediterranean countries and the Black Sea region". She wished success to Bulgaria on the path of the reforms, promotion of the rule of law and good governance. She also wished success for the upcoming November presidential elections.

Finally she said: "Personally, and as my term ends, I heartily thank all the people in this wonderful country, who by their openness, hospitality, experience, spiritual and emotional nobility made my stay here an amazing experience, priceless cultural and social exchange and rich in knowledge and interaction diplomatic product".
