On February 9 at Marinella Hotel in Sofia the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran hosted a reception on the occasion of the national holiday of the country.

Ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic missions, journalists, cultural figures and friends attended the 38th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

In his welcoming speech the chargé d’affaires ad interim - Mr. Hassan Dotagi emphasized the country's achievements over the past four decades in the fields of "economy, culture, education, energy and even security", and the fact that it is at the forefront of "science, nanotechnology, military technology, peaceful nuclear energy and many other areas."

"Iran, as one of the major players in the Middle East, understands the existing complex circumstances and has always emphasized the need to combat violence; and the presence of the “non-violence" element in the deep beliefs of the people of this country is the reason why no Iranian citizen has been involved in terrorist activities... That is why in 1998 and 2013 the president of my country launched the idea of "dialogue among civilizations" and "world without violence and extremism. "Because we ourselves have been victims of terrorism."- Said Mr. Dotagi.

In his speech he stressed the will of the leaders of our two countries “for development of cooperation in all areas."

The guests at the reception enjoyed wonderful photos from Iran, live Persian music and wonderful traditional Iranian dishes.
