Actually, the diplomatic relations between our two countries were established in 1995. But not until 2015 did Saudi Arabia open its own embassy in Sofia. Bulgaria has not opened one in Riyadh yet. As an outcome, over the past five years the bilateral relations have been intensified, especially in the commercial and economic sphere, resulting into a number of meetings and visits in both countries and an increase in the bilateral trade.
