On the 28th October at the Central Military Club in Sofia, the embassies of the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic organized a concert on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic.

It was opened by H. E. Mr. Dušan Štrauch, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic and H. E. Mr. Manuel Korček, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic, who welcomed the guests. The event was attended by the Vice-President of the Republic of Bulgaria - Mrs. Iliyana Yotova, who also greeted all present on the occasion of the important anniversary. The concert was held under the patronage of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mrs. Ekaterina Zaharieva, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the MFA - Mrs. Elena Shekerletova. The President of the Supreme Court of Cassation Mr. Lozan Panov, ambassadors, diplomats, Czechs and Slovaks living in Bulgaria and friends also attended the event.

At the concert, two orchestras - one Czech and one Slovak, performed beautiful classical works that enforced the symbolism of the event, showing that today the Czech Republic and Slovakia are good neighbors with well-developed cooperation in all spheres. The Czech Republic was represented by Trio Martinů, and Slovakia by Moyzesovo Kvarteto. The Slovak Quartet performed works by the Slovak composers Burlas, Bella and Zeljenka and the Czech trio - a work by A. Dvořáka (Klavírní trio č. 1, op. 21). There followed a joint performance of the two orchestras - a work by A. Dvořáka (Klavírní kvintet č. 2 v Adur, op. 81).
