On 5th of December the Embassy of the State of Palestine in the Republic of Bulgaria, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria
and the representations of the specialized bodies of the United Nations Organization celebrated the International Day for Solidarity with the Palestinian People - 29 November. The event was at the Lumiere Lidl Cinema at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia and was attended by the Deputy Foreign Ministers Mr. Petko Doykov and Mr. Milen Lutskanov, officials, ambassadors, diplomats, journalists, representatives of the Palestinian Diaspora in our country, friends of Palestine.
H. Dr. Ahmed Al Madbuh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Bulgaria, opened the solemn evening with a welcome speech and recalled the history of the still unresolved Palestinian issue. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Petko Doikov, and the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Bulgaria, Mr. Mathijs Le Rutte, also delivered speeches.
Congratulations on the occasion of the International Day for Solidarity with the Palestinian People were sent by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Rumen Radev, by the Prime Minister Mr. Boyko Borisov, by the President of SANS, by the Head of the Military Academy "G. S. Rakovski" and many others.
Graduates of the National School of Dance - Sofia, the dance troupe of the Palestinian Ibn Sina School - Sofia and the Palestinian Folklore Ensemble "Al-Qawmiyya" - Ramallah took part in the rich cultural program in the evening.
