On the 20^th of May, the 13^th European Museum Night was held in Sofia. The event is organized annually by the French Institute, the Metropolitan Municipality and the Ministry of Culture, and both in the past years and during this one, the interest in it was high.

Citizens had free access to 49 museums, galleries and cultural spaces in the capital. Apart from being able to look at the expositions, they were also delighted with a variety of cultural programs. Each gallery had tried to invite famous artists, musicians, actors to please their guests. And most of the surprises were for the kids: workshops, cinema, quizzes, raffles and what not. In fact, the most important thing in the European Museum Night is its spirit. The joy of art and of sharing it is a truly wonderful and democratic European achievement.
