His Excellency Mr. Kahtan Janabi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq to the Republic of Bulgaria, presented his letters of credence to His Excellency Mr. Rosen Plevneliev, President of the Republic of Bulgaria, on 26 March 2015.

Graduated in medicine at the Baghdad University, after 15 years of general practitioner career, His Excellency became an Advisor of the Iraqi Government for three years and in 2009 joined the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the rank of Ambassador.
In the period 2011-2014 he was Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Maldives.
