On 11 October, H. E. Ms. Pooja Kapur, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India in Bulgaria,

gave a reception at her residence in Boyana on the occasion of 55th anniversary of the Technical and Economic Cooperation Program of India (ITEC). The program was officially introduced on September 15, 1964 and the date was designated as the Day of ITEC. It is fully sponsored by the Indian government where more than 160 partnering countries were invited. All Indian missions in the partner countries, among which is Bulgaria, give a reception on this occasion at a chosen time during the year.

Among the guests of Her Excellency again were Bulgarians from different public sectors who, in the recent years, attended trainings in the program, friends of India and journalists. They were addressed by H. E. Ms. Pooja Kapur and Christo Polendakov, Director of the Directorate General for Bilateral Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria addressed the gathering.

Afterwards ome of the ITEC participants shared their experience with India with the other guests. They spoke about the new experience and the novelties they learned thanks to the Program, the contacts they created and the opportunity to touch the Indian people and culture. It was generally agreed that they should meet more often in a structured format and undertake several new initiatives.
