On November 29, H. E. Mrs. Brândușa-Ioana Predescu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Republic of Bulgaria,
hosted a reception on the occasion of the country’s national day, celebrated on December 1. At the Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia, she welcomed over 400 guests, including the Ministers of Defense, Interior, Tourism, Energy, Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs, MPs, heads of state institutions, mayors, representatives of business, civil society organizations, and Bulgarian media. His Holiness the Bulgarian Patriarch and Metropolitan of Sofia Daniil was also present.
In her welcoming speech, H. E. Mrs. Brândușa-Ioana Predescu, stated that Romania and Bulgaria play a central role in building democracy and security in the region. She also emphasized that the depth and quality of our bilateral relations, developed in recent years, have led to their elevation to the level of Strategic Partnership, a document that was signed by the presidents of both countries on March 15, 2023.
Those attending the reception had the opportunity not only to engage in conversations in the warm and friendly atmosphere created by the hosts, but also to view an art exhibition by the Artmark auction house, displayed in the foyer outside the hall.
