This year, a month before the biggest Christian holiday of Christmas in the city center, at the Battenberg Square, a German Christmas market was opened.

This happened on the 18th November in the presence of H. E. Mr. Detlef Lingemann, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bulgaria, Ms. Malina Edreva, chairperson of the Permanent Committee of Education, Culture, Science and Cultural Diversity of the Municipal Council and Mrs. Teodora Bremme- organizer.

Many different decorations are offered in the neat wooden houses at the Battenberg Square for the Christmas tre; gifts and Christmas toys. And even more: mulled wine, beer, sausages, cakes, stollen... The scent of cinnamon and vanilla will fill the square until Christmas. The beautifully decorated tree shines prominently displayed in the Christmas bazaar. There is also a stage with a rich program every night - musical performances, puppet theater and of course meetings with Santa for the kids.
