On the occasion of the anniversary edition of the festival we got the first visit from the Vienna Chamber Orchestra. On the 5^th of April, at "Bulgaria" hall, the orchestra gave a concert, on whichworks by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart,

Paul Hertel and Johannes Brahmswere performed. The composer Paul Hertel attended the event. The hall was packed and the concert was attended by the Mayor of Sofia - Mrs. YordankaFandakova. Besides the capital, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra visited Plovdiv and Burgas.

It should be reminded that the Austrian Music Weeks in Bulgaria festival has been organized for 20 years by the Embassy of Austria in our country and it is its largest cultural project. Within the 19 editions so far, over 200 concerts in 15 citieswere organized: Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Ruse, Burgas, Stara Zagora, Pazardzhik, VelikoTarnovo, Blagoevgrad, Gabrovo, Shumen, Dobrich, Kyustendil, Pernik, Vidin.

This year, besides the the Vienna Chamber Orchestratouring, the focus of the festival was the joint concert of the male choir Attsgersdorf and the Academic male choir "Gusla", which was held on the 5^th of May at the Sofia Art Gallery.
