On the occasion of the national holiday of Hungary - October 23rd, H. E. Mrs. Tekla Harangozo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Bulgaria,

and her husband, Mr. Chaba Balaj, gave a reception at the embassy. The date is connected to the Hungarian Revolution and the struggle for freedom since 1956. 63 years ago, the Hungarian nation rose to fight the dictatorship and change the system.

The reception was attended by many guests - officials, ambassadors, prominent public and cultural figures, representatives of the Hungarian diaspora in Bulgaria, friends of the Hungarian people. While involved in lively conversations, they all tasted delicious Hungarian wines and culinary specialties. They also enjoyed the Hungarian atmosphere created by the performances of the folk dance troupe "Hajdu" from the city of Debrecen.

The same evening, the ensemble gave a concert on the occasion of Hungary's national day at the Central Military Club in Sofia, with a fully-packed room. Its program included Hungarian folk dances from the Carpathian Basin.
