On July 24, in Sofia Hotel Balkan, Her Excellency Ms Manal Yehia El Shinnawi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt, hosted a reception dedicated on the national holiday of her country. Among the many guests were ambassadors accredited in Bulgaria, diplomats, journalists and friends of Egypt.

 "On July 23, 1952 the leader of Egypt - Gamal Abdel Nasser, along with his colleagues from the Egyptian armed forces announced a revolution with the support of the Egyptian people. The fight against colonialism, independence, elimination of corruption and poverty and respect for the dignity of the Egyptian people were part of the objectives of the revolution”- Said Her Excellency Ms Manal Yehia El Shinnawi.

She added that on August 6, 2015 Egypt will present a gift to the world - "the opening of the new Suez Canal, one of the largest mega-projects of the 21st century." Egyptian people invested $ 8 billion in it through the purchase of bonds.
