On February 11, at the Marinela Hotel in Sofia, H. E. Mr. Ali Reza Irvash, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Bulgaria,

gave a reception on the occasion of the country's national day. The 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution was honored with the presence of representatives of the higher state administration, parliament, parties and media, businessmen, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations, cultural figures, and friends.

In his welcoming speech to those present, H. E. Mr. Ali Reza Irvash emphasized: "Forty-seven years ago, the will of the Iranian nation was firmly set on liberating itself from a dictatorial regime that was dependent on dominating and exploitative powers. This demand was not merely a transfer of political authority; rather, it marked the beginning of the establishment of national sovereignty, democracy, and the restoration of the dignity and independence of the Iranian people.

From the outset, the Islamic Republic of Iran drew its vision on the principles of independence, freedom, justice, and the rejection of domination - a path that, despite numerous pressures and challenges, has been pursued with consistency and sustainability."

He spoke about his country’s achievements over these 47 years in the fields of science and technology, economy and production, building deterrent and defense capabilities, etc.

He also summarized what is happening today in Iran and around the world. " ... In recent months, Iran has faced serious challenges from human rights and international norms violators. Despite the policy of maximum pressure and the confrontational approach of the United States, Iran entered into negotiations on nuclear-related issues to demonstrate its goodwill. Nevertheless, while five rounds of negotiations had been held and an agreement had been reached to convene a sixth round, we witnessed military aggression against Iran by the Zionist regime with the participation of the United States.", said the Ambassador. Finally, he stated: "A strong and united Iran, together with its people, will remain dignified and victorious. Any change will occur solely through the will and actions of the Iranian people, and no foreign power will be permitted to interfere."
