On 5 October at Hilton Sofia Hotel H.E. Mr. Shin Boonam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea, and his wife gave an official reception on the occasion of the national holiday of their country.

The National Foundation Day, October 3, is connected to the first Korean state – The Ancient Joseon, founded back in 2333 BC.

In his address to the guests H. E. Mr. Shin Boonam emphasised the good bilateral relations between our countries in the fields of policy, economy and culture. He mentioned the importance of the last year's meeting between the presidents of the two countries in Seoul, where they signed a joint declaration on overall partnership oriented to the future. In June this year the Korean Minister of Foreign Affairs visited Bulgaria in order to strengthen this cooperation, and in July and August delegates from the Korean Parliament visited our country. The 26-year relationship between our countries give confidence that our partnership will deepen.

The event was attended by over 400 guests - representatives of diplomatic missions, MPs, politicians, representatives of the media, of cultural and educational institutions, friends of Korea.
